The decisive battle of the "Finnish War of Independence" (January to May 1918), between the German Army and Finnish Red Guard, over a complex array of trenches and bunkers which took four year and 100,000 personnel to plan, design and construct. Hear the stories of the men who fought over their claim to govern the Finnish nation and her peoples.

Return to the parking lot

From the parking lot, drive to Helsinki and discuss the aftermath of the “Battle of Leppävaara” and its influence on the rest of the war and the Finnish Nation.
